North Vancouver Clinics Added to Findadoctorbc.ca

After a year of working out the logistics and strategies for helping people find family doctors and nurse practitioners on Vancouver Island, we have started our expansion into the rest of BC by adding North Vancouver Clinics.

We added 27 clinics, representing over 130 family doctors. We found 12 clinics (a very high percentage) reported they are accepting new patients on their websites, but websites are often out of date. If people call clinics and find their accepting status is different than reported, please take a moment to fill of the “Call Report Form” provided on the contact page to let us know so we can update the information.

Review of activity in October 2019

As of October 31, 2019, out of 180 clinics being monitored on Vancouver Island there were 12 clinics accepting new patients and 5 that might be accepting new patients.

During October, through our users and our own calling of clinics, we were able to find family clinics that started accepting new patients or started active wait-lists in

Find a Doctor BC Service planned for Greater Victoria Region

We are putting the finishing touches on the data required to include Victoria in the Find a Doctor BC service. This is the largest number of family doctors and clinics that we have tackled to date, but getting Victoria completed before launch is important for a Vancouver Island wide service offering.
