I’m on the BC Health Connect Registry. Why would I want to join your notification service?
We recommend everyone sign up for the Health Connect Registry if it is available for you. However, not all clinics pull from the registry and many clinics who use it also accept direct applications to their office. Our exit surveys show that only 6% of people who used our service found a doctor via the Health Connect Registry.

An email alert will be sent to you when a family practitioner (either a family doctor, a nurse practitioner or a team practice) in your region is reported accepting new patients or having a waiting list. An email alert contains:

- what was reported. This will include some or all – depending on the information we receive — of the following: number of family practitioners accepting, gender of practitioners, type of practitioner, how to register, expected wait time, criteria to apply
- a link to clinic contact details
